About SCIFF
Launched in 2017, SCIFF is a pioneering film festival hosted by schools, in schools. It’s not just a festival — it’s a movement that brings the world of cinema into classrooms, giving young minds the chance to WATCH acclaimed international students’s films, LEARN the craft of filmmaking, and MAKE powerful short films of their own. SCIFF has redefined film festivals — from red carpets to school auditoriums. In a world where most students never step into a film festival, we took the festival to them. Every school became a screening venue. We didn’t just bring films to students — we brought students into the world of cinema. Along the way, we also gave filmmakers something extraordinary: a global audience of millions of young viewers every year. By embedding cinema into learning, SCIFF has sparked imagination, empathy, and critical thinking — nurturing a generation of thoughtful viewers and emerging storytellers.
